Assistant Store Manager — Full Time William Henry Home | Bethesda, Maryland
William Henry Home, a new specialty store, is seeking a dynamic, energetic Assistant Store Manager to join our new upscale home furnishings store in Bethesda, Maryland.
In this key role, you will support daily store operations, help drive sales, communicate with clients, and create a warm, inspiring shopping environment. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about home furnishings, interior design, and retail management to contribute to a new business.
Responsibilities
Assist the Store Owner in overseeing daily operations and supporting sales goals.
Communicate with clients, provide product information, and support sales efforts.
Manage inventory, including stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing.
Respond to customer inquiries professionally and resolve concerns promptly.
Assist with purchasing decisions and vendor relationships.
Maintain an attractive, organized showroom that reflects the stores style and standards.
Use and maintain all equipment and tools in the shop safely and effectively.
Support showroom setup, product movement, displays, and other physical store needs.

Requirements

Qualifications
Proven ability to sell through strong product knowledge and a customer-focused experience.
Supervisory or assistant management experience in retail or a similar environment.
Strong understanding of retail operations and sales practices.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow through on responsibilities.
Professional personal style and a polished, customer-focused presence.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to safely climb up and down a ladder.
Ability to use and maintain shop equipment and tools safely.
Ability to use email and Zoom.
Experience with POS systems and 2D and 3D interior design technology.
Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
A creative approach to merchandising and problem-solving.
A passion for interior design, home furnishings, and helping customers create beautiful spaces.
Schedule
This is a full-time position requiring availability for varied days and weekends.
